Time to pause, speak openly and explore what matters to you.
We usually meet weekly and review the pace together as we go.

For your therapy sessions
We begin with what feels difficult, confusing or simply hard to carry on your own.
We look at what is happening now and the experiences, relationships and beliefs that may be shaping it.
As you understand yourself more clearly, we can explore the choices available to you and what you would like to do differently.
Once we have agreed an appointment, I’ll send you a private Microsoft Teams invitation for that session. At the appointment time, open the invitation and select Join the meeting. You can usually join in a web browser without creating a Microsoft account or downloading the Teams app.
You’ll wait in the private meeting lobby until I admit you. Please join from a quiet, private place and allow your browser to use your camera and microphone when it asks.
Your session will not be recorded. If the connection drops, use the same private link to rejoin. We’ll agree a backup way to reconnect before we begin working together.
For your privacy, session links are sent directly to you. There is no public meeting link or video room on this website.
You only need to share a little when you first enquire. If we decide to work together, I’ll ask privately for your full name, date of birth, address and a safe way to contact you. I’ll also ask about your GP practice, if you have one, and someone you would feel comfortable naming as an emergency contact.
These details allow us to arrange sessions safely and agree what should happen in an emergency. If you do not have a GP, or feel uncomfortable sharing something, we can talk about your concerns and possible alternatives.
For online sessions, we’ll confirm where you are and how to reconnect if the call drops. We’ll also go through our therapy agreement, including privacy, fees and cancellations, with time for your questions. You do not need to write out your whole history.
Your privacy and emergency contacts →Yes. You do not need a diagnosis or a particular problem. You may want to explore who you are, how your experiences have shaped you, or why you make certain choices. We can work together to understand your needs and values, while keeping the choices firmly yours.
I usually reply promptly. If I am in clinical work or away with family, it may take a little longer, but I will respond as soon as I reasonably can. We discuss availability and whether my way of working may be right for you. If we agree to meet, we confirm the appointment and practical arrangements directly. Sending an enquiry does not commit you to a session. Read what we will arrange before we begin.
We’ll talk about what brings you here and what you hope to get from therapy. You can ask questions and get a feel for how we might work together.
I will listen and give you room to think, but I also ask questions and share observations. We can talk about what feels helpful to you and adjust the pace together.
Most people start with weekly sessions. We can review this as we go.
Your privacy is central to my work. I will explain confidentiality, supervision and the limited safety or legal circumstances in which information may need to be shared before we begin. You can read about confidentiality and ethical care or ask me at any time.
You are welcome to enquire about online sessions on Microsoft Teams from outside the UK. Please mention the country you would be in during sessions. Before agreeing to work together, I need to check that my insurance and the rules in that location allow it.
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel. Late cancellations and missed sessions are charged at 50% of the agreed session fee. Any outstanding fee needs to be resolved before another session can be booked.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory conversation on Microsoft Teams. It is a chance to ask questions and consider whether we might work well together, with no obligation to book. The first therapy appointment is charged at the usual session fee.
Once we’ve agreed your appointment, you can pay securely on the payment page. Payment is due 24 hours before your session, or when we book if it is sooner. No payment is needed for an enquiry or introductory call.
